X-Rite and ImageXpert Announce Color-Measurement Scanning System
Nashua, New Hampshire - [8 September, 2006] - Both image quality measurements and color measurements are crucial to ImageXpert customers. Today, ImageXpert announced that its scanner /camera-based image quality inspection systems now have enhanced color measurement capabilities thanks to a collaborative effort with X-Rite Inc., the leader in color management solutions.
The new automated functionality of ImageXpert's scanner-based inspection systems has been achieved by incorporating X-Rite's RGB-L*a*b* conversion and visual color mapping technologies into ImageXpert's image-analysis software.
Users of ImageXpert's scanner-based inspection systems will now be able to measure color and image quality automatically with one device. The system can be set up to report color coordinates on nearly any analytical target.

ImageXpert has a long relationship with X-Rite. Many ImageXpert systems include a fully integrated X-Rite spectrodensitometer. "By working directly with X-Rite, we are able to offer this new capability with full confidence in the technology," Kipman says.
