The ImageXpert cylinder inspection system is designed for testing parts before they are integrated into print engines. The system can quickly image the surface of the cylinder and the software can be used to find surface defects and display quantitative results.
Once the part or cylinder is assembled in the printer, our ImageXaminer scanner system can be used in print tests of the final assembly. A defective cylinder surface will often result in print defects that repeat at regular intervals either within a page or between pages. Printability tests can be run on samples and numerical results can be displayed or stored for analysis.
