Thermal

Thermal printer manufacturers use ImageXpert systems for automated print quality inspection.

Print quality analysis has often been performed visually. Visual inspection is time-consuming and results are not repeatable or objective. ImageXpert's systems allow for automated inspection, accurate results (down to the micron where desired) and objective, quantitative data. Image quality tests include features important to thermal printing such as banding, edge smoothness, character continuity and integrity, and many others.

ImageXpert offers a number of system configurations, all designed specifically to inspect print quality. At the core of each system is our powerful ImageXpert software. The image input path can range from simple, single-camera or scanner-based systems to very complex, multi-camera full-motion systems with integrated X-Rite color and density measurement capabilities.
